Cannellini Beans with Broccoli Rabe
Ingredients
Mirepoix (chopped up carrots, onion, celery)
Broccoli Rabe
Cannellini beans
Instructions
In a large sauce pan (or pot)
Add: EVOO, Red pepper flakes (to taste), Mirepoix
Cook until softAdd: Robbies (cute nickname) and cook until soft
Add: Beans and some water and simmer until it looks and feels like it's all blended together (roughly 20 minutes)
Add: Salt to taste
Crusty Italian bread and some red vino make it perfetta!
*When I cook I use red pepper flakes more often than ground black pepper. I like the heat red pepper flakes bring to a dish.
